Obituary for Lila Lee Bryant
Lila Lee Bryant, age 83 of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on June 18, 2019 after fighting battles with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Lila was born January 3, 1936 to Irwin and Frieda White Randall. Lila attended school in Agra and Dodge City, Kansas. She married Jerry O. Bryant on June 4, 1976.
Lila worked as a CNA for many years. She loved her Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks and Colorado Rockies, sunflowers and lavender, drinking hot coffee, telling stories from the good ole days, cooking and eating, hosting holiday meals, baking bread and pies, but most of all, she loved being a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.
Lila leaves to mourn, her sons, Francis Allen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Brian (Lillian) Allen and Roger Allen of Pueblo, Colorado and Brad (Monica) Allen of Questa, New Mexico; daughters, Samarie (Rob) Bridgewater of Pueblo West, Colorado and Jan Kurilla of Hastings, Minnesota; Step-daughters, Derise Unruh of Dodge City, Kansas; Delinda (Dave) Keefe of Seminole, Florida, Dee (Gaylon) Fields of Bucklin, Kansas; one step-son, Jarry Bryant of Dodge City, Kansas; sisters, Bonnie Davis of Castle Rock, Colorado, Leatrice Hanks of Agra, Kansas and Patty (John) Martin of Eureka, Kansas; twenty-five grandchildren; 52 great- grandchildren, with one more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her devoted and loving husband Jerry preceded her in death in 1980. Also preceding her in death was her infant daughter, Terry Lee Bryant; daughter, Julianne Schaefer; Granddaughter, Janell Cover McCune; brothers, Bud and Billy Randall; sisters, Norma Ward and Shirley Buss.
A Graveside “Celebration of Life” Service will be held on June 29, 2019 at the Ensign Cemetery in Ensign, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. Chief, Jayhawk or Rockies attire are welcome.
The family would like send a heartfelt thank you to the University Park Care Center staff for their care, love and dedication to our mother.
