COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866 by Mary Jane Galer (published 2000), on page 248 says A. Cadman's child died age 2 but cause not reported, buried October 13, 1864 as resident of Columbus (probably born and died there. From July to October 1864, report of the Sexton for the 3d quarter, presented October 10, 1864).

1860 census of Columbus, GA, Dwelling 801, Household 801 says A. Cadman, a gunsmith age 30, born in England and holding personal estate valued at $300, with Jane Cadman age 30, born in Scotland, Alfred Cadman age 3, born in Scotland, and Douglass Cadman age 7 months, born in Georgia.

1870 census of Ward 2, Columbus, GA, Dwelling 172, Household 240 says Anthony Cadman, a gunsmith age 40, born in England and holding real estate valued at $2000, personal estate valued at $500, with Jane Cadman age 40, keeping house, and (children all born in GA) Jessie W. Cadman a female age 13 going to school, Alfred Cadman age 12, Douglas age 9, Antoinette age 3 and Jane age 7 months, born in Aug.

1880 census of Columbus, GA, Dwelling 180, Household 182 says Anthony Cadman, a gunsmith age 48, born in England, with Jane Cadman age 48 born in Scotland and (children all born in GA) Antoinette Cadman age 12 at school, Jennie Cadman age 14, Never or Neves (?) Cadman, a female age 7. This family apparently boarding with Schubinsky & Rachel Simon, ages 68 & 55, both born in Prussia.

Probably an unmarked grave. Possibly in Lot 419 of Section C, which was originally purchased by James F. Fuse for $25 on October 24, 1864; same lot sold November 18, 1879 by Mrs. Julie B. Fuse to S. J. Pecot.
