William R. Spence, 94, of Rt. 2, Bluefield, Va., died Saturday morning at his home. Death was attributed to natural causes.
Survivors include five daughters, Margaret Graham, Norma Van Blaricom and Mrs. Billy (Betty) Shrader, all of Bluefield, Mrs. C.J. (Janie) Conley of Rocky Gap, Va., and Mrs. Jimmy (Lockie) Boothe of Caretta; four sons, Charles Spence of Bluefield, R.C. Spence of Winston-Salem, N.C., O.K. Spence of Charlotte, N.C., and Hubert Spence of Tampa, Fla.; four step-daughters, Frances Scruggs of Bluefield, Va., Beatrice Scruggs of Gladstone, Va., Eunice Ohlinger of Charleston and Renee Clarke of Roanoke, Va.; one step-son, Howard Leftwich of Gladstone; one brother, H.E. Spence of Rocky Gap; one sister, Helen Bowers of Philadelphia, Pa.; 41 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Rocky Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jack Day and Rev. Steve Poore officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Bluefield-Pnnceton Road. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Newberry Funeral Home in Bland, Va., and at the church one hour prior to services.~ Married four times ~
