(age 6) and James T. (age 2). The 1860 Census shows Emily Leach (age 21) living in Harrison Township, Boone County, Indiana with parents John (age 55) and Nancy (age 56) and siblings Anderson (age 27), Lucy A. (age 19), John (age 18), Nancy (age 16) and James (age 12). Emily Leach married William J. Adams in Boone County, Indiana on July 26, 1863.

The following paragraph is from a biography of her husband: "He (William) married July 26, 1863, Miss Emily Leach, daughter of John and Nancy (Dale) Leach, to which marriage were born two children: John S. and Thomas, both deceased. Mrs. Adams was called to her final rest February 28, 1868, dying a devout member of the Christian Church."
