Professional Football Player. For twelve seasons (1957 to 1968), he played at the linebacker position in the National Football League with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. He attended Magnolia High School in Ohio and played collegiate football, basketball and baseball at Ohio State University. Signed as a non drafted player by the Cleveland Browns, he totaled 146 career regular season games. He experienced a world championship in 1964 with the NFL Title winning Cleveland Browns. After retiring, he remained in the game and served as a linebacker coach with the Cincinnati Bengals and later a defensive coordinator with the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.
