Squadron Leader John V. Newkirk, 28, of Scarsdale, N.Y., went to New York Cathedral Choir School, was Eagle Scout, Time, Inc. office boy, graduate of Rensselear Polytechnic. he trained as Navy flier at Pensacola, Fla., married Lansing, Mich., girl. Life Magazine on March 30, 1942.
