FORREN, Florine Thompson November 23, 1934 - June 16, 2019 Florine (Flo) Thompson Forren, a resident of Edinburgh Square, Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born November 23, 1934 in Stollings, Logan County, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Ernest Halford and Minnie Katherine Kinser Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma Jean Forren Stanley; two sisters, Christine Forren and Opal Fisher; two brothers, Eugene Thompson and Hershel Thompson. She is survived by one son, Dallas Forren and wife Brenda of Bedford, Virginia; one granddaughter, Shannon Stanley Harless and husband Donnie of Blue Ridge, Virginia; two grandsons, Howard Forren and wife Lee of Shiloh, North Carolina, Shawn Stanley and wife Jennifer of Blue Ridge, Virginia; three great-grandsons, Kristopher Forren, Mitchell Harless, and Austin Stanley; four great-granddaughters, Sara Forren, Kierstyn Stanley, Maddie Harless and Haley Seitz; one sister, Louella Magoon of Surprise, Arizona; and a special nephew, James Fisher and partner, Ken Whitlow of North Tazewell, Virginia, who helped care for her and her dog Angel. At Florine's request the body was cremated and there will be no visitation or service at this time. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
