Bea graduated in 1943 from South High School in Salt Lake City. She went on to put herself through college and graduated with a Business Major, an English Minor and a teaching certificate from the University of Utah. After graduation she returned to Kanab and taught at Kanab High School from 1948 to 1951.
Bea moved to California and met Wally while working at North American Aviation. After dating for five years, they married and lived in Rolling Hills, CA for 12 years raising their two children.
They moved to Kennewick, WA in 1969 and lived there 32 years. The years there brought much joy & happiness and one of the greatest blessings in Bea's life came as Wally investigated and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. In addition to raising her family she served faithfully in numerous callings in the church.
In 2002 Bea and Wally moved back to her beloved hometown of Kanab, UT where they lovingly and diligently restored the 123 year - old family home she was raised in. She was returning to that home when she fell ill in Orem.
Bea leaves behind a wealth of blessings for her family and those who knew her. Surviving are her two children, Dr. Byron (Lynae) Carr and Kathy (Eric) Moss; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Bea began her life in Kanab, Utah and her heart has always been there. She will be buried in the town she loves. Funeral services held on 22 June at the Kanab Utah South LDS Chapel. Arrangements made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.
