WOODWARD--Sarah E. Keen, 95, of Woodward, died Friday, September 27, 2002, at Center Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. She was born April 29, 1907, in Spring Mills, a daughter of the late Ira B. and Elizabeth (Rachau) Bartley. She and Melvin A. Keen were married July 23, 1924. He preceded her in death May 3, 1994.
Mrs. Keen was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, gardening and raising indoor plants and flowers.
Surviving were one granddaughter and her husband, Mary and Dennis Brungart of Rebersburg; one niece; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Faye Hartley, in 1992 and one son, Robert, in 1946.
Visitors called at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim, where the funeral was conducted by the Reverend Dewey M. Evans.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
