"He was born Van Arnold Row on August 29, 1932 in Temple, Texas to Ray M. and Ruth O. Arnold Row. Van was raised in Gouldbusk graduating from Mozelle High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1956 he married Violet Savage in Gouldbusk, Texas.
"Van worked for A T & T until his retirement in 1983 returning to Coleman in 1990. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Downtown Men’s Sunday School Class, Masonic Lodge Coleman # 496 where he served as Past Master, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Communications Workers of America. He loved to spend time in his garden.
Survivors include two daughters – Kathy L. & husband Steven Jewell of Coleman, Texas; Vanica R. & husband Charles Maves of Coleman, Texas; a son – Robert G. & wife Jackie Row of Smithville, North Carolina; a sister – Bonnie & husband Phil Fannin of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers – Joe Row of Coleman, Texas; Doyce Row of Midland, Texas; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren
