Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Freese Funeral Home, Tolono. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date.
Harvey was born May 10, 1919, in rural Tolono, a son of Harve and Vivian Barnhart. He married Ruth Roberts on April 4, 1942; she passed away Jan. 6, 2011.
Harvey is survived by a son, Hal (Ann) Barnhart of rural Champaign, and two grandchildren, Angie (Mark) Bundy of rural Ivesdale and Clay (Amy) Barnhart of Mahomet. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Ryne, Konnor, Alek, Tylor, Audrie, Kenzie and Dustyn Bundy and Cole, Megan and Cody Barnhart; and one stepgreat-granddaughter, Samie Bundy.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and four sisters.
Harvey was a lifelong farmer (planting his last corn crop at the age of 91). He especially enjoyed family time and following the activities of his great-grandchildren. His hobby was fishing.
Memorials may be made to Bondville United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
