Born Sept. 28, 1908, in Deer Creek Township, Cass County, she .was the daughter of Webster and Emma McCracken Hopkins. On May 17, 1930, in Cass County, she was married to Leo I. Adkinson, who died June 2,
1982. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kokomo, Walton Chapter 184 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Cass County Retired Teachers Association and the Indiana School Women's Club.
Mrs. Adkinson graduated from Young American High School in 1926. She attended Indiana university, and
graduated from Butler University in 1960, receiving a bachelor's degree for teaching.
Surviving are one daughter, Lois Sivert and her husband, James, Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sons, John E. and his wife, Grace, Schererville, and Willam, Kokomo; one sister, Luella Adkinson, lona, Mich.; four grandchildren,
Robert Adkinson Sr., Julie Rios, Tim Sivert and Jennifer Seis; and four great-grandchildren. Three sisters preceded in death.
Pastor Larry Newberg will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Young America Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Murray Funeral Home, Galveston Chapel, where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m.
