Mrs. Buchan spent most of her life in Osceola County, Iowa. On October 12, 1927, she was untited in marriage to Wm. Buchan of Ashton, Iowa.
During the past four years, Mrs. Buchan was in failing health. All that medical skill and loving care could do was done for her. She passed away on July 5, 1954, at Sutherland, Iowa, having reached the age of 66 years, 6 months and 21 days.
Those who mourn her departure are her widower, Wm. Buchan; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Martinek of Wesley, Iowa, and Mrs. Harry Kaiser of Sutherland; three brothers, Walter of Harris, Iowa, Armin of Hartley and Herman of Richmond, California; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, July 7, at the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church in Hartley, Rev. Alfred Youngschlager of Calumet officiating.
Interment was in the Harrison Township Cemetery.
