Florencie W. Cummins, age 76, died June 14, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Naomi, Kentucky, on May 8, 1943, to the late Otha and Bonnie Merrick Ard. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church, in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a great-grandson, Hans Peterson, II. She is survived by: her husband, Larry Cummins; a son, Thomas Wicker; three sisters, Carrol Woody, Joyce Lyons and Zella Pearson; two grandchildren, Amanda Peterson and Megan Owens; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Peterson and Hayleigh Peterson; several nephews; and a host of family members and friends, who mourn her passing.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, with Brother Thomas Wicker officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at Tarter Cemetery on Tarter Cemetery Road, in Nancy, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Bluegrass Hospice Care Navigators, 1317 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031; or Central Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 401 Central Avenue, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701.
