"Mr. Doak of Tenn." was buried here. The 26 Mar 1878 issue of the Staunton Spectator, includes an article called Bethel Church-Yard. It includes over 500 people's names who were buried here, without dates (see photo). Another article about Bethel Church is in the same paper, dated 4 Feb 1873.
