Mrs. Betty (Murphy) Dunn, 86, a resident of Union City, died Sunday morning, June 9, 2019, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Joint funeral services with her husband, Charles Dunn will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Stephen Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Murphy Fair, Jack Greer, Tim Wheeler, Kelly Hayman, Ross Lemons, and Steve Dawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Faulkner, James Faulkner, Jimmy Faulkner, Johnny McConnell, and Charles Whitby.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dunn was born on March 16, 1933, in Fulton, KY, daughter of the late F M Murphy and the late Ethel Murphy. She married Charles Dunn April 10, 1951. He died Sunday afternoon, June 9, 2019. She retired as a bookkeeper from Dixie Gun Works after sixty-one years. She was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ, Union City.

The family requests memorials be sent to: Bishop Street Church of Christ, 908 Bishop Street, Union City.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kris Dunn of Rives; a granddaughter and her husband, Brooke and Kelly Hayman, of Knoxville; a grandson, Nicholas Dunn of Fort Collins, Co; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Hayman and Owen Hayman of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Napier and Glenda Polson; three brothers, Flois Murphy, Bob Murphy and Cleo Murphy.
