Noni was married to James (Jim) Leroy Wharton who passed away several years ago. Noni is survived by her son Randy James Wharton and her daughter-in-law Rose Hurliman-Wharton both of Cloverdale, Ore.
Additionally, Noni is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Misty L. Wharton of Cloverdale, Ore.; Nicola Harrison-Wharton of Cloverdale, Ore.; Joshua R. Wharton of Cornelius, Ore.; Scarlet P. Harrison of Cloverdale, Ore. and Evi P. Wharton of Cloverdale, Ore. Noni has one brother, Rick D. Lane, still living.
Noni has a large extended family with many nieces, nephews and cousins living in the area. Noni was preceded in passing by two brothers, Tom Lane and Jerry Lane, and one sister Carol Lane-Hienen. Noni asked that there would be no funeral service.
Noni and Jim operated a sporting goods store in Hebo, Ore. for many years. Noni ran the store while Jim guided steelhead fishermen in the winter season and fished a dory out of Pacific City, Ore. in the summer. Later, Jim was a partner in a construction business. After Jim passed away, Noni worked for the Nestucca Valley School District as an instructional assistant until she retired. Donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
