Kenyetta Dorothea Lamon was born March 21, 1974 to Bobbie Lamon Good and Algen Chearisin Rockford, IL. Kym departed this earth on June 2, 2019 with her mother at her side. She was raised in Rockford, IL. She attended Guilford High School. She always stayed close to her father all her life. Kym was a beautiful, funny person, who's favorite color was red. She enjoyed making people laugh. Kym was given the nickname Songbird because before she could talk, she would sing in baby language. Kym was rarely seen without her red lipstick. She loved to dance. She had a special love for her niece, LaKendaRussed. At times, it seemed LaKenda had two mothers, that's how strong their bond was. Kym will be missed by all who truly loved her.

Kym was survived by her mother, Bobbie Good, her father Algen Chearis, her Grandmother Maggie Lamon, her Grandfather Dallas (Jr) Bill. Three sisters, Collette Cherias, Donna (Reginald) Holmes and Shamon Bowen. Two brothers, Lee Willie Alexander and Algen Lamon (Jr).
She had four nieces, LaKenda Russell, La'NiyshaWhite, Niy'Narri Russell and Keairra Jones.
Ten nephews, Kenny Jones, Kennon Jones, JohnyJones, Elijah Medaris, Kechan Jones, JawanLamon, Lamar Mose Lamon, Kendell Terry, Kingsley Terry and Nhy'Aire Russell.
A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Chearis, one nephew Kaleb Jones, grandmotherCarrie Margert Holland, grandfather MoseRobert Lamon, two uncles, Clarence Grey Holland, Willie Lamon.
