Theodore Adamczyk, age 85 of Warren, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Clare Bridge Assisted Living in Utica Michigan.
Theodore was born September 16, 1923 in Donora, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph Adamczyk and the late Caroline (nee: Mroz) Adamczyk. Theodore's family moved to Detroit when he was a young man. He graduated from Pershing High School.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, having attained the rank of Tec Corporal.

After his military service Theodore returned to Detroit and worked for over 30 years as a building inspector for the City of Detroit.

When Mr. Adamczyk was not working he enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer landing a hole in one, and also winning the Detroit Newspaper's Hole in One contest.

However his family was his first love… spending time with his siblings and children were his favorite pastime. He always kept his standing golf game with his brothers and his lifelong friends.

Theodore was also a devout Catholic and a member of the St. Pius X Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Adamczyk was preceded in death by his beloved wife Viola and his dear son Robert.

He is the dearest father of Theodore Jr. (Kathleen), Michael (Carol), and John Adamczyk.

Loving grandfather of Ryan, Steven, Gregory, and Jaclyn.

Dear brother of Wanda Cavalier, and Henry (Dolores) Adamczyk.

Mr. Adamczyk is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Adamczyk will be Wednesday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile). Mr. Adamczyk will lie in state Thursday at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass
