Jarvis Emigh died at 5:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon [[6 Feb] at the Emigh homestead near Middle Grove after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Emigh celebrated their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary recently.
Mr. Emigh moved with his parents to the Emigh homestead, where he died, when seven years old and the homestead has been in the Emigh family for three generations at that time.
Besides his wife, who was Miss Mary Dake, Mr. Emigh is survived by two sons, Allison G. Emigh of East Galway, and Richard W. Emigh of this village; one sister, Mrs. Nathaniel Tabor of Mechanicville, one brother, Gelutia Emigh, who resides on the homestead; and several grandchildren.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock at the late residence, the Rev. Elmer E. West pastor of the Rock City Falls Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Frink Cemetery. Mr. Emigh was born in the Town of Greenfield, January 18,1848
