Doris J. Lamey
Doris J. Lamey, 84, formerly of Loganton, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at SusqueView Home, Lock Haven.
Born June 17, 1934 in Booneville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Merrill and Edna Ruth Lehman Brungard.
Doris was a 1952 graduate of Sugar Valley High School.
In 1953 she married Doyle C. Lamey with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2005.
Doris was employed at Pequea Works, Loganton as a sneller, then Sugar Valley Telephone Company, as a waitress and cook at various local restaurants and finally at Woolrich Woolen Mills as a seamstress, retiring in 1996.
She was Lutheran by faith.
Doris enjoyed sewing, playing Bingo, gardening, baking and visiting flea markets.
Surviving are three children: Denis (Deborah) Lamey of Loganton, Douglas (Betty) Lamey, Sr. of Flemington and Donna Lamey-Walizer of Flemington; two sisters; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and a grandson.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Evangelical Cemetery, E. Main St., Loganton.
