Dorothy j Diehl, 80, of Loganton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 18 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 17, 1934 in Greenburr, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Merrill and Edna Ruth Lehman Brungard. In Loganton on July 2 1954 she married the love of her life Robert "Bob" Diehl, who servives.
Dorothy was employed by Pecqua Fishing Tackle and Sylvania at Hall's Station before becoming an aide at Laurelton State School and Hospital where she was employed for 27 years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Booneville.
Dorothy was a very active member of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxilary having been a dedicated volunteer for 56 years.
She enjoyed camping and card plating with her sisters. She was excellent at quilting and sewing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Joyce Flynn and Darla Gerhard both of Loganton, Lois (Richard) Oister of Mt. Pleasant Mills, her twin sister Doris Lamey of Lock Haven, three sisters Mary Washburn,Alma Seyler and Alda Held, all of Loganton two grandchildren Heather & Adrianna Oister, and numerous nieces ans nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Raymond, Lynn, Glen and Harold Brungard.
