Mrs. Robert Wheatley, nee Mildred Ruby Louise Mosel of San Antonio, Texas formerly of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away on Friday May 10th, 2019, in San Antonio, at the age of 96 years. She was born in the Petersburg Community of Gillespie County, Texas, the daughter of Walter Adolph Mosel and Lillie Reeh Mosel, married Robert F. Wheatley on April 23rd, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas, and was employed 35 years as a logistician at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. She enjoyed traveling the United States and Europe. Her “42” dominoes playing was legendary. She lived a simple life full of honesty and integrity; her greatest gift to others was her time and her attention.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Wheatley, sisters, Norma Beatrice Mosel, and Annie Roberta, Mrs. Charles Joseph Lange.

Mildred is survived by her daughter and spouse: Norma and Joseph Favaro of Atascosa, Texas, grandchildren and spouses: Constance & Eric Hall (Lakehills, Texas), Colleen and Levi Ogana (Fairview, Texas), great grandchildren: Elise Rose Ogana and Nora Louise Ogana, step grandchildren and spouses: Tiffany and Lane Traylor (San Antonio) Dominic and Tracey Favaro (Portland, Texas), step great grandchildren: Reece and Mason Traylor, brother, Frederick Mosel of Fredericksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vigil services will be held on Thursday evening at 6:00 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.

Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Father John Baptiste officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the charity of their choice.

Visitation for Mildred Mosel Wheatley will be on Thursday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 7 to 10:45 A.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
