Dean Pearsoll, age 68, of Columbus died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at McKown Funeral Home, and will continue Thursday, from 1:00 pm until service time at the church.
Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post # 84, American Legion Honor Guard.
Dean Pearsoll was born September 7, 1950 in Lackawanna, New York to Grant and Esther (Stradtman) Pearsoll. He grew up in New York State in the Jamestown area. Following high school he entered the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1970-1974. Upon his discharge he worked as an air traffic controller for over 37 years. He was stationed in Oklahoma City, Kansas City and finally in Columbus. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Lifetime member of the American Legion where he served on the Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard for over 5 years serving on 226 ceremonies. Dean enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities, gardening, riding the river on his 4 wheeler. He loved his Yankees and NASCAR.
