He was married to Neil Brown also from Ward who survives him. They had three children, Bud E. III, Jackie Elaine and George, all three survives.
Bud was a career Army. He entered the military during the Korean War, serving in Korea in Armor. He also served a tour in Germany. Later he became a helicopter pilot as a Chief Warrant Officer. He served several tours in Vietnam, receiving many decorations. When he retired he held the rank of Chief Warrant 4. After retiring from the military he worked a few years in the coal mine.
