Margaret Lee McGinty, 90, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018. She was born on April 13, 1928 in Louisville, KY to Edward & Aileen Staab. She is preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Hilda Staab; her husband, John Benjamin McGinty; and her son Joseph Maurice McGinty. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Michele (Larry) Crabtree, and Deborah (Richard) Lauder; her sisters, Mary Doughty, Aileen Woerner, Dorothy Mix, Shirley (Leo) Thieneman, Patsy (Bob) Nash, and Kathleen (Jack) Passifiume; her brothers, Edward Joseph (Liz) Staab Jr., and Richard (Karen) Staab. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1-6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. The family requests that contributions in Margaret's memory be made to The Kentucky Humane Society.
