BOND.MORRIS BOND

Smithville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Morris David Bond, age 58, was born April 20, 1961 and died May 23, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Mr. Bond was a Farm Manager with the Tennessee State University Nursery Research Center, was employed by Foster & Foster Realty Company, a former County Commissioner for 14 years in District 11, a cattle farmer and nurseryman, and a member of Bluff Springs Church of Christ.

He was the son of the late Edward Owen and Dorothy Miller Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Aubrey Bond, Irene Bain, Douglas Bond, Waymon Bond, Judy Roberts and Eugene Bond.

He is survived by four children and spouses, Leslie and Mike Lockley of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kayla and Charlie Tollison, Cody Bond, and Heather Chandler all of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Caleb Lockley of Murfreesboro, TN, Jessica Lockley of South Carolina, Bryson and Bailey Carroll of McMinnville, and Kevin Tollison of Cookeville, TN; seven siblings and spouses, Geneva and Aubrey Reece Winfrey of Morrison, TN, and Frank and Gewanda Bond, Janie Phifer, Marie and John Padgett, Diane Bond, Audrey and Charles Morgan, and Wanda and Randy Neeley all of McMinnville; aunts, Jimmie Blanks of Alabama and Edna Paris and husband Franklin of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews, mothers of the children, Sherry Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN and Karon Kennamer of McMinnville; and numerous close and special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Central Church of Christ with Teddy Jones and John Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at High’s.
