Douglas Edward Bond, age 72, a Warren County resident and native was born
October 1, 1945 and died March 22, 2018 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a retired employee of the Warren County Sanitation Department, member of
the Baptist Church and the son of the late Edward Owen and Dorothy Miller Bond. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Aubrey, Waymon and
Eugene Bond, sisters, Irene Bain and Judy Roberts.
Mr. Bond is survived by son, Douglas Edward Bond Jr., of McMinnville, grandson,
Jonathan Bond and wife Rebecca of McMinnville, granddaughter, Hayley Leann
Bond of Columbia, Tn.,two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Bond and Payton Vaughn
both of McMinnville, former wife, Betty Bond of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-
in-law, Geneva and Reece Winfrey of Morrison, Janie Phifer, Marie and John
Padgett, Diane Bond, Audrey and Charles Morgan and Wanda and Randy Neely all
of McMinnville; brothers and sister-in-law, Frank and Gewanda Bond and Morris
Bond, all of McMinnville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at High's Chapel
with Bobby Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Bethleham Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of service at
High's.
