Served in 1st New Hampshire (Stark's Regiment) in Revolutionary War; Cpl from Conn in Gen Washington's Life Guard. Served in military service of US for 9 yrs. In Battle of Bunker Hill, and In fight when Burgoyne was captured with rank of Sgt Maj. In both Battles of Stillwater, also in Battles of Monmouth and Hubbardton. Appl for pens Apr 12, 1818 while living in Truxton, Cortland, N.Y. (per DAR records)
