"DEATHS
STEFFY
Mrs. Lucretia Steffy, aged ninety-four years, died Monday, June 6th at 5:30 a. m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mollie Dutton four miles north­west of Wheatland. Deceased had been confined to her bed for several months, her death being due to general debility. She leaves surviving her two sisters, Mrs, Jermina Katron, aged ninety-six and Mrs. Mollie Dutton, aged ninety-two also two brothers, John Steffy of Illinois and Henry Steffy of Kansas both over 80 years of age. Another sister, Mrs. Kate Pickle, who died two years ago, was over ninety years of age.
The funeral will be held this, Tues­day, morning a 10 o'clock from the Royal Oak church."

On Wednesday May 4th, 1892, the many friends and relatives of Aunt Crecia Steffy met at her home in Palmyra township to celebrate her 82d. birthday. There were present four of her sisters, Mrs. Katy Pickle, aged 89, Mrs. Jemima Ketron, aged 83, Mrs. Mollie Dutton, aged 78, Mrs. Sarah Steen, aged 68, and one brother Mr. John Steffy aged 80. Aunt Crecia bids fair to live several years longer, being able to get around pretty lively for one so old. May she live to see many more such meetings is the wish of all who were present..."
