Born Chorlton, Manchester, she was the daughter of the industrialist and Liberal M.P. Frederick W Grafton and Emily Sophia Howard. She married Daniel Mackintosh on 9 Aug 1899 at Heysham, Lancashire. She gave birth to their only child Adela Ferguson Macintosh on 14th June in London the following year. Living Wintercombe Eastnor, Ledbury, Herefordshire, she died at Barnwood House Hospital Gloucester aged 77 and was interred on December 28th 1933.
