Mrs. Emogene Sharp, age 89 of Algood, died Saturday morning, May 18th at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville.

She was born August 2, 1929 in Pickett County to the late Charlie and Lona Crouch Davidson.

She attended school in Fentress County and moved to Algood in 1966. She retired from the Acme Boot Co. and was a member of Rickman Freewill Baptist Church and later attended Life Church.

Emogene enjoying cooking and entertaining for people. She had a servant’s hearts and was most happy when serving others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Sharp, Jr.; daughter, Janie Sharp; brothers, Leonard and Jack Davidson and sisters, Maxine Dishmon and Norene Davidson.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Sharp of Monterey, Kathy and Roger Finley and Gail Sharp, all of Algood; grandchildren, Jennifer Mahler, Mark Wilmoth, Matthew Finley, Derick Finley, Eric Dishman and Lori Tinch; great grandchildren, LeShay Gentry, Paxton Mahler, Ches Proffitt, Cara Spurlock, Alyssa Goetz, Calli and Maci Finley, Kaylee and Maddie Dishman, and Elijah and DJ Hobbs; great great grandchildren, Tucker Gentry, Nyla Gentry, Jace Mahler, Lynnox Mahler, and Sophia, Kayden and Ariana Spurlock; brothers, Willard (Edna) Davidson,Joe Davidson, Jimmy Owen, Melvin Davison and Wayne Davidson and sisters, Colleen Eller, Linda Warner, Joyce Melvin, Barbara Walker, Brenda (Eddie) Kilgore and Nancy (Robert) Carter.
