Cleburne, Texas, Dec. 7. -- While apparently in good health, Mrs. Tillie Thompson, 66 years old, widow of the late Dallas Thompson, dropped dead at her home in Venus at 9:30 o'clock this morning. The funeral and burial will take place tomorrow at Old Caddo Cemetery, this county.
She is survived by five sons and one daughter. She was the daughter of Colonel Hawpe, a Kentuckian, an early resident of Dallas County, and her husband was named after the city of Dallas.

Venus, Johnson Co., Texas. Dec 9. -- Mrs. Dallas Thompson died suddenly Thursday morning at about 9:30 o'clock at her home here. Mrs. Thompson was formerly Miss Matilda Hawpe of Dallas and has a number of relatives in that city. She was 66 years old. She is survived by five sons, Brooks Thompson of Fort Worth, Joe, Bushrod and Terry Thompson of Venus and Clifton Thompson of California, and one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Anderson of Alvarado.
