Alice M. Winburn, 90, of Urbandale, died Thursday, May 9, 2019 at MercyOne West Des Moines.
Alice was born July 10, 1929, in Waterloo, daughter of Horace and Dorothy Hilmer Maynard.
She attended Iowa State Teachers College.
She married Dr. James R. Winburn DVM September 2, 1963. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2017.
Alice was a homemaker. She liked to read and was a great cook.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Craig) Sandvold of Lone Tree‚ CO; two sons, Bruce (Lori) Dieckman of Denver‚ CO, and Robert Winburn of Urbandale; two grandchildren, Christopher Dieckman and Lynne Dieckman; one great-grandchild, Colby Dieckman; and brother, Herbert Maynard of Cedar Rapids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Jean Fairhurst; and brother, Rick Maynard.
