Mrs. Geo. W. Caraway Dies In Bebe Section July 5th
The Bebe community lost a loved and venerable resident, Thursday July 5, at midnight when the gentle spirit of Mrs. Geo. W. Caraway slipped across the borderland to the eternal home, the end coming at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Clark following a long illness.
Mrs. Caraway was over 88 years of age and was virtually a life long resident of the county.
Mrs. Caraway was a sister f Mrs. M. T. Haynes of this city. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. H. R. Oakes and Mrs. W. D. Clark of Bebe, Mrs. Will Riley and Mrs. Fred White both of Stockdale, and a number of grandchildren. Besides Mrs. Haynes she leaves also two other sisters Mrs. H. W. Johnson of Leesville and Mrs. Walter Fowler and a brother Ed Hems of Globe, Arizona.
Her husband died seventeen years ago. She was before her marriage Miss Amanda Helms.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
The funeral was set for this afternoon at 4 o'clock with services at the residence of her daughter Mrs. Clark, the pastor of the Leesville Methodist church officiating.
Interment will be made in the family burying ground at the Union Hill cemetery.
In their loss the family will have the sympathy of hosts of friends over the county.
