She was born on Thursday, January 7, 1926 in Highland, Kansas and was the daughter of Corwin Wallace Pierson and Priscilla (Rupe) Pierson.
Bessie was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Southside where she was the church clerk for many years. She was involved in the AcTeens and was a leader of the G.A.'s. Bessie was also involved in the W.M.U.
She retired from White Rodgers after working there for 23 years. During World War II, she worked with the munitions industry in Kansas. "Bonnie" enjoyed cross-stitching, bowling and reading.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Lynn Brown of Floral; two daughters: Kathleen Ann Webb of Batesville and Janet Elaine Davis of Southside. Ten grandchildren, Gina Hemund, Andy Brown, Jeff Brown, Karen Savell, Sharon Blevins, Kimberly Dale, Susan Davis, Jeffie Davis, Robby Webb and Joey Webb also survive her. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Allen Person of Ellinwood, Kansas; Richard Glenn Pierson of California, Missouri; two sisters: Norma Jean Barker of Toole, Utah, Patricia Jane Smith of Sydney, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Aaron Brown; one sister, Shirley Lamb; and one brother, Carl Miller.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy Brown, Jeffie Davis, Robby Webb, Joey Webb, Jerry Dale, and Bill Savell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Brooks Blevins, and A.J. Hemund.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Southside with Richard Nuckolls officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Interment will be at Egner Cemetery on New Chapel Road in Salado under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. (870) 793-4161.
