Reuben Fanning was born in Sullivan County MO 15 July 1847 and died 28 May 1925. He married Agnes E. George, 1 Sept 1870, by Rev Harmon. Four children born, James of Cora MO; Allen of Browning MO; Mrs Lula Brumbaugh of Browning and Thomas who preceded him. Wife died 11 Mar 1916. At age 16, Reuben enlisted as volunteer in United States Army, Co K 43rd Rgt. Back to Sullivan County after discharge. In 1885 he took his family to Texas, but returned a year later. Services White Oak Grove Church, burial in cemetery near by.
