Verdia Allen, age 73 of Berea, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Verdia was born in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Ed and Maggie Cope Campbell. She retired from Exide Manufacturing in Richmond and enjoyed attending the Richmond Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two siblings, Ricky Campbell and Shirley VanWinkle.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lori (Shannon Keith) Allen and Donna Yocum; five brothers, Ray Campbell, Jerry Campbell, Donnie Campbell, Larry Campbell, and Boyd Campbell; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) Wiser, Dan Yocum, Heather (Nick Daugherty) Yocum, Brooklyn Yocum, Amber (Josh Lamb) Allen, Alexis Allen, and Sebastian Lewis; and six great grandchildren, Haley, Hayden, and Hudson Wiser, Emma Yocum, Chesney Daugherty, and Rylynn Lamb.
Memorial services will be 5pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Jack Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Friday at the funeral home.
