Warren Carlin Marshall age 98 of Fries, VA passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Marshall was born in Carroll County, VA on January 5, 1921 to Lawrence Herman & Oder Quesenberry Marshall. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae Williams Marshall. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law, Carlene Marshall Hall of Fries, Virginia; Anita Jo & Ted Farmer of Blacksburg; grandchildren & spouses, Ted Anthony Farmer & Sarah of Radford; Cyndy Hines & Richard of Elkton; Terri Adkins & Greg of Galax; Barry Anders & Heather of Draper; three great-grandchildren, John Farmer; Madison Buck and Aaron Buck; brothers & sister-in-law, Julian & Betty Marshall of Vinton; Dewey Marshall of Salem; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM in the Galax Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Theron Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Galax Pentecostal Holiness Church. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to either the Fries Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, PO Box 9, Fries, VA 24330 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
