Charles Shetterly was born in Warren county, Iowa, January 29, 1872, where he lived with his parents until 1882 when he came with them to Hunter, Kansas, and lived for about five years, after which they moved to Concordia, Kansas, where most of his life was spent until recent years in which he lived at Lucas, where he died December 9th.
Mr. Shetterly was 53 years, 10 months and 10 days old at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his death a sister, Mrs. Mary Galer, two nieces, Mrs. Arthur Pauley and Mrs. Fred Sprague, and a nephew, John Galer, of Las Animas, Colorado.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Mary Galer, conducted by Rev. C. L. Norman, and interment made in the Lucas cemetery.
