Betty J. Rose, age 95, passed away May 1, 2019 at The Sanctuary, Geneva. She was born September 8, 1923 in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, and lived 63 years in Geneva, Ohio. She graduated from Meadville High School, Meadville, PA in 1941.

She was an active member of the United Church of Geneva where she served on many boards, committees and played in the Church Hand Bell Choir. She served 22 years on the Senior Citizen Advisory Board, was a member and past president of the Geneva Friendly Garden Club, a member of Lake County Retirees, and Geneva Pace Exercise Group.

Also a Girl Scout leader, neighborhood Girl Scout cookie chairman, a den mother for Cub Scouts, and played the drums with 'The Off Our Rockers Band'.

Along with her husband Carl, together, they served as foster parents in Ashtabula County for 13 years.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, camping with her family in the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania. Her hobbies included quilting, flower arranging, sewing, making macrame chairs, and all types of crafts. She loved to read, taking care of a large flower garden, feeding the birds, working in the yard, and playing with her dogs. Betty enjoyed playing dominoes & cards with her friends from church, and corn hole with her exercise group.

Survivors: Children: Barry (Margaret) Rose, of Canfield, OH; Charles (Debra) Rose, of Geneva; Carol Speck, of Jefferson; Grandchildren: Michelle (Dave) Watkins, of Canfield; Carla (Euriel) Merrick, of Hudson; Kristen (Tom) Joseph, of Canfield; Heather (Greg) Geis, of Middletown; James (Kim) Carpenter, of Dayton; Charles (Kate) Rose, of Madison; and 18 Great Grandchildren.
