Lottie E. Moyer, 79, of Strawbridge Road, Northumberland, passed away on April 26, 2019, at 3:45 p.m. surrounded by her family, with her devoted husband holding her hand.
She was born June 24, 1939, in Herndon, a daughter of the late Frederick R. and Alma L. (Reichenbach) Herrold. Lottie was always proud that she was delivered at home by her father. In 1958, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Harold L. Moyer who survives. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on May 11, 2019.

Lottie graduated from Sunbury High School in 1957 and served as vice president of her class for many years. She was a talented basketball and softball player.
She was employed at Town & Country Department Store as office manager for 15 years, and in 2004, after 27 years of service, retired from Nottingham Village as office manager.
Lottie was an accomplished Pennsylvania Dutch cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends, but Lottie's greatest joy was caring for family in their time of need.

She is survived by her son that always made her smile, Gregory S. Moyer and his wife Edie L., of Northumberland; daughter-in-law, Pam A. Moyer of Winfield; four grandchildren, Amber Reddinger and her husband John of Laureldale, Andrew Moyer of Northumberland, Alaina Rathfon and her husband Brandon of Middleburg, Alyssa Caputo and her husband Michael of Winfield; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Noah and Lydia Reddinger, Hunter and Emily Rathfon, and Julianna Caputo; two sisters, Sylvia Merrill of Selinsgrove and Helen Bennett and her husband Donald of Conestoga; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving son, Douglas L. Moyer, who passed away from ALS in 2009; one sister, Arlene Lerch; and three brothers, Frederick, Carl, and John Herrold.

A private graveside ceremony with friends and family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lottie's memory may be made to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Ambler, PA 19002.

Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.
