Dr. Stephen Kelly, City Veterinarian, Dies Early Today

Dr. Stephen G. C. Kelly, 65, of 1010 South A street, well known veterinarian, died at his home at 7:20 o'clock this morning.

Dr. Kelly was a practicing veterinarian in Elwood and vicinity for more than 45 years.

Born March 24, 1883, in Noblesville, he was the son of Anthony and Josina Kelly. He was married to Miss Pearl Plummer, Oct. 28, 1908. She preceded him in death, Dec. 19, 1946.

Dr. Kelly attended the First Church of Christ Scientist, was a member of the Elks lodge, the F and M 230; Shriners, and Consistitory. He graduated from the Indianapolis college of veterinarians.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Kelly of Noblesville, and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Morris of Noblesville; Mrs. Bertha Harrell of Traverse City, Michigan; Mrs. Edith Berg of Onalaska, Washington, and Mrs. Osie Heing of Denver, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.

The body was removed to the Clark Chapel where it will remain. Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives.
