He served in the Civil War, was wounded, but lived through the War. Sometime before 1870, they moved to Ohio where they were enumerated in census with two children, Willie [Wm) 5, b. PA and Owen, 4, PA.
They later added Marie Fravel, b. ca 1872; Jason Fravel, b.ca 1874 & Mary Fravel, b. 1876.
Rebecca married Josiah C. Merritt, 1893, and he preceded her in death 19 Feb. 1903, Jackson Twp Champaign, OH. He was a Union Veteran. Unable to locate his place of burial; 1st wife, Elizabeth E (Gossett) Merritt #160010265.
