  • On the 1910 US Census, he appears as age 7, which would make his birth year about 1903. (His brother, Charles Arthur shows as age 4, ie 1906)
  • On the 1920 US Census, he shows as 18, which would put his birth year about 1902 (and brother Albert C, shows as age 16, ie 1904).
  • His brother, Charles Arthur Crister, was born 19 July 1904, per his gravestone, which makes 1904 less likely as William's birth year.
  • On William's WWI draft registration, he listed his birthdate as 16 Jul 1901, with his nearest relative, C. A. Critser of Montpelier, Idaho (his father).
  • On his WWII draft registration, he listed his birth as 16 Jul 1903 in Florence, Kansas, with his sister, Velma (Mrs. E. J. Mathisen), as the person who would always know his address.
  • The CA Death index shows birth date of 16 Jul 1904, mother's maiden as Whitlock.
