Born in Terre Haute Indiana. Her family moved to Chase Co, Kansas when she was 11.

Married Charles A. Critser of Florence, Kansas on 6 Mar 1892. They lived on a ranch near Florence, Kansas. They had seven children, four girls and three boys. In summer 1916, they moved to Soda Springs, Idaho. They lived there until fall 1917, when they moved to Montpelier.

Her husband, Charles, and seven children mourned her death [only six children were named in obit; William was added from 1910 Census and Charles' obit; Locations from obit dated Fri 2 Jan 1920]:

Laverna (Mrs. Clarence R) Gurney of Florence, Kansas; Harry V of Alberta, Canada; Bessie (Mrs George R) Payton of Burns, Kansas; Velma (Mrs. William V) Short [later became Mrs Emmet Mathisen], William Ray, Albert C and Beulah May "Geraldine" (Mrs Francis) Hanssen of Montpelier;

also her father, four sisters and three brothers of Kansas.

Services were held at the Methodist Church by Rev. Pierce of Bancroft, Idaho. Her husband, and all children except Mrs. Gurley and Mrs. Peyton attended.
