Raymond E. Strait Sr., 75, of Clyde, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at The Willows at Bellevue.

He was born Aug. 3, 1943, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Silas and Jessie (McKinney) Strait. He married Mary Dickman March 17, 1967, in Monroe, Michigan, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Strait of Clyde; two children, Raymond E. Strait Jr. and Michelle (Alan) Hill, both of Green Springs; a sister, Irene (Duane) Corfman of Sycamore; two brothers, Joseph (Dena) Strait of Green Springs and Clarence Strait of McCutchenville; two sisters-in-law, Goldie Strait of Sycamore and Dodi Strait of Bloomville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Strait was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bennett, Orville and Leonard Strait.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Green Springs Cemetery in Green Springs, with military honors provided by Seneca County veterans.
