Robert (Bob) Madison Neely was born in LaFayette, Walker County, Georgia in 1848 (we think) and died in Antioch, Troup County, Georgia in about 1925. At the onset of the Civil War he would have been age 13 but records show he served as Assistant Surgeon, Company S. (Infantry) for the CSA.
Robert (Bob) married 8 February 1872 in Harris, Georgia. He married Sarah (Sally) Elizabeth King who already had a son named Luther King b. 1870. (or so we think). She may have died 1890 in labor with her last child. She may have been a widow as many did not return from the war.

Robert (Bob states he was born in LaFayette and that she was residing in Troup County and Robert states he resided in LaGrange, Troup County GA. Records indicate she was buried in Glen Township, GA which would be actually Glenn in Heard County, GA. While we are uncertain as to the cemetery, this may be moot in that the TVA built a dam and created a man-made lake which may have flooded the burial sites.

Gravesite Details
Opinion is that since daughter Lille Belle is buried at Glenn, Heard County Georgia, he may well be interned there along with his wife.
