Paul Dennis Marudas passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 15th, 2019 at the age of 87.
Paul was born on March 25th, 1932 to Dennis and Catherine VonRueden Marudas in Hinckley, MN, graduating from Hinckley High School in 1950, and lived the majority of his life next door to the farm he was raised on.
He was married to Bonnie Mae Rabe on September 24th, 1955, and together they raised 4 children – Jim, Steve “The Greek”, Dianne “Dede”, and Dan.
Many will remember Paul as either the Milk Man or the Beer Man. He spent 10 years hauling milk, and was a salesman/delivery man for the local Grain Belt/Schmidt Distributor for 40 years. He served as the Clerk of Hinckley Township for 48 years, and was an avid supporter of all things baseball in this area, playing for the Hinckley Knights, watching his sons and grandsons play for the team, and serving as the announcer for the team at Brennan field, earning the Knights Life Time Achievement award in 2012. He was an avid hunter and found great pleasure in spending time at his Hunting Shack in Cloverdale, and was the best “treasure hunter” in the area, drawn to every Auction or Garage Sale he knew of! You never had to guess what Pauly was thinking, because he would tell you straight out, but a more loving, kind and generous man you will never find. Sleep well, Papa…we’ll see you in the morning.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Kate, siblings, Nick (Barb) Marudas, Helen (Raymond) Fix, Angelein, Mary and John Marudas, and his in-laws, Egbert and Olga Rabe.
Surviving Paul are his wife of 63 years, Bonnie; sister, Margaret (Roy); children, Jim (Kaye), Steve, Dede (Don) and Dan (Jess); grandchildren, Bryan (Britney), Cory (Leann), Amanda (Tom), and Zachary; and the prides of his heart, great-grandchildren, Grace, Cameron, MacKenzie, Freya, Kaliope and Kloniki ; along with many beloved relatives and so many wonderful friends.
