Mr. Conn was born in Tennessee and has lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Barbe High School where he played football and ran track, and McNeese State University which he attended on a track scholarship. He worked as an Insurance Adjuster. He continued running track, marathons and triathlons for many years. Mr. Conn enjoyed woodworking, was always an avid sports fan and spent countless hours watching and cheering from his chair at home. He was outgoing, loved being around people and making them laugh, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Conn will be most remembered for his spirit and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel Lewis Conn, Jr. and Barbara Shockley Conn and one sister, Karen Mayeaux.
In respect of his wishes, a private gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home.
Mr. Conn formerly was active in supporting United Way.
